![]() If you didn't have a Vita already but love Persona, Golden is a fine excuse to get both. ![]() To me, this game is one of those titles that are the reason to get a platform. Using the PS2 version as its base, the Vita edition brought with it new characters to meet, new enemies to annihilate, and a new way to experience the branching story. While the title itself is available on other platforms like the PS2, PS3, and Windows PC, I feel that you haven't truly experienced what Persona 4 Golden has to offer until you've played it on Vita. It's a fine representation of RPG gold and surprisingly enough, the PS Vita is the best way to play this game. They became the subjects in a fabulous interactive tableau, where every screenshot is a work of art (minus the user interface and damage numbers, of course).Persona 4 Golden is a masterpiece. Once I spent some time in designer George Kamitani’s highly stylised fantasy world, these otherwise freakish figures fell into place. Presented in a short trailer or a series of screenshots, these fantastic characters certainly draw the eye and invite criticism. ![]() It’s the context that changes the perspective. The Dwarf never covers his rippling pecs, and the Sorceress’ questionable wardrobe choices are maintained throughout the course of this epic adventure. There isn’t a piece of equipment in the game capable of covering up the comically massive thighs of my beloved Amazon warrior. An hour into playing the actual game, I stopped noticing. Vanillaware’s tribute to classic side-scrolling action role-playing games has garnered a lot of attention over the past few years for its exaggerated, overly sexualised character designs.
